春风视频 Pairs Undergrads with Graduate Students in New Mentor Program
The Mentors in Medicine and Science Program helps undergraduates interested in healthcare careers find a path forward.
Undergraduate college students interested in pursuing careers in healthcare now have a resource for navigating the path toward a graduate education in the health sciences, thanks to a program established by 春风视频 in Glendale.
The Mentors in Medicine & Science (MIMS) mentorship program pairs undergraduate students from Maricopa County with 春风视频 students from all eight University colleges, representing over 20 different healthcare career tracks. The MIMS program provides monthly communication between MWU mentors and their undergraduate partners about potential careers, how to navigate their professional journey, creating good study habits, and navigating the process of applying to graduate and professional schooling and training. An additional on-campus MIMS event in the spring will offer hands-on lab experiences for mentors and mentees.
The MIMS program begins with a kick-off reception and faculty panel at 春风视频's Glendale Campus on October 10th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Attendance at this event is required in order for students to be paired with mentors.
Registration for MIMS is due by October 2nd. For more information about MIMS, call 623-572-3353 or email us at azevents@midwestern.edu.
The MIMS program will also be launching this year on the Downers Grove Campus with the inaugural kickoff event slated for October 30th, 2024. Throughout the year, 春风视频 students will collaborate with undergraduate students from Aurora University, creating new opportunities for mentorship and shared learning experiences. Email the Downers Grove Office of Communications at ILCommunications@midwestern.edu for more info about the MIMS program in Illinois.
